Link to External Spreadsheets
ActivReporter Excel workbooks can link to external data with ease. Here is an example of linking a workbook to a budget workbook. Any change in the budget workbook will register in the ActivReporter workbook.

What is the price?
An ActivReporter license costs $1,800 per year with a one-time initial setup fee of $2,500. The $2,500 installation charge includes assistance from the ActivReporter installation team for your designated technical person from your partner organization or your company to install the ActivReporter server software in your GP environment. The installation charge also includes installing the ActivReporter client on one terminal server or one workstation, and four hours of end-user training. Can ActivReporter run in a cloud hosted/data center environment?
Yes. ActivReporter has been installed in several cloud hosted/data center environments and should be able to run in almost any cloud hosted/data center environment that hosts Dynamics GP.
Can ActivReporter run in a Terminal Server/Citrix environment?
Yes. ActivReporter has been fully tested and has been installed in many terminal server/Citrix environments.
How many users can connect to ActivReporter at one time?
Each ActivReporter license includes unlimited users. Any number of users can connect at one time.
Can ActivReporter handle a large number of different GP company databases and/or GP company databases that have a large number of GL transactions?
Yes. One of the main differentiators between ActivReporter and other GP financial reporting software is the ability to handle a large number of GP company databases even with a large number of transactions.
Can any ActivReporter user drilldown to detail? What about drillback into Dynamics GP?
Yes. Any ActivReporter user can drilldown to transaction detail. However, only ActivReporter users that also have a GP user license and the proper GP security can drillback from ActivReporter into Dynamics GP.
Does my GP Partner need to be involved with ActivReporter installation?
A certain amount of technical support is needed for the installation of both ActivReporter server and workstation environments. Typically, the ActivReporter installation process is coordinated with the GP Partner, or an on-staff technical person who already maintains the company’s GP system environment. Any involvement of your GP partner is not covered by your ActivReporter purchase and your existing agreement with your partner will apply.
How much training time will it take to have our GP users writing financial reports?
With ActivReporter utilizing standard Excel, actual use of ActivReporter happens fairly quickly. We have found that the more experience a person has in writing Excel formulas, the faster they are able to begin writing ActivReporter reports. ActivReporter includes four hours of end-user training. Additional support and training are available for $190/hour.
If I don’t have the time to convert all my current Management Reporter financial reports to ActivReporter, may I buy time from AccountingWare to convert some of my reports?

Can I produce accurate financial statements in a new year before closing the prior year?
Yes. ActivReporter does not rely on the BBF entries generated at year-end closing. Thus, you can create financial designs that are accurate whether or not the prior year has been closed.
Can I email ActivReporter reports to department heads?
Yes. The ActivReporter "automation engine" (AAS) can be programmed to send any report to any person at any time. This does require scripting of the system and is not a native "out of the box" feature. You can also set up scheduled reports by using the Task Scheduler in coordination with AAS scripts. AccountingWare or your Dynamics GP partner can assist in setting this up.

Absolutely! There is a BOT (part of the ActivReporter Automation system) that will extract Management Reporter row definitions and create ActivReporter rollups. AccountingWare or your Dynamics GP partner can assist.

ActivReporter license pricing is comprised of an initial set up fee and a recurring annual license fee.
Initial purchase of ActivReporter is licensed for up to 10 Dynamics GP company databases and unlimited users. Additional Dynamics GP company databases can be added to your license for an additional set up fee and additional recurring annual license fee.

The license fee must be paid in advance of license provided. Payment may be made on accountingware.com by credit card only. The initial payment will create an annually recurring credit card charge for the license fee. The credit card charge will continue to recur unless terminated with a 30-day written notice to AccountingWare.
AccountingWare Support Fees
AccountingWare provides complimentary support for ActivReporter via email. Support requests can be submitted through the ActivReporter website, https://accountingware.com/activreporter/support or by emailing support@accountingware.com . AccountingWare will also assist with any malfunctioning software features (bugs).
Direct support is assistance provided over the phone or screen sharing applications such as Microsoft Teams. Direct support for ActivReporter is available by the hour at the rate shown in the table below or for an annual fee through a service agreement. If you purchased ActivReporter through your GP partner, charges incurred by direct support will be sent to your partner.

ActivReporter Service Agreement
AccountingWare offers a service agreement to customers that provides direct support for ActivReporter for an annual fee instead of an hourly rate. Services and support provided under the service agreement include, but are not limited to:
- Assistance installing ActivReporter updates
- Assistance resolving ActivReporter technical issues
- Answering questions related to using ActivReporter
This service agreement does not include any services or support for Dynamics GP. When an issue arises where the root problem can be traced back to Dynamics GP, AccountingWare will provide suggestions to solve the problem but will direct the customer to their GP partner for direct assistance in solving the problem. Please see the Service Agreement Terms and Conditions for more details.
An ActivReporter service agreement may only be purchased by an end-user customer, not an ActivPartner or GP partner.
